Hope, Nelson Headline Fury Challenger Series 15 in Houston
HOUSTON — Fury Challenger Series 15 returns to Houston on Friday with a 16-fight lineup featuring several ranked regional contenders, as the Bayou City Event Center hosts another prospect-driven showcase for Fury FC. Prelims begin at 5:30 p.m. CT, with the main card scheduled for 8 p.m. CT.
Featherweights Dakota Hope and Damion Nelson headline the action in one of the card’s most meaningful matchups. Hope enters as the No. 17 pro featherweight in the U.S. Southeast region, while Nelson carries one of the top résumés on the bill as the No. 3 pro featherweight in the U.S. Northeast. The bout positions the winner for a significant rise in national visibility.
The flyweight division delivers another key matchup as Justin Longoria, the No. 14 pro flyweight in the U.S. Southwest, meets Steven Orozco, ranked No. 28 pro flyweight in the U.S. Southwest. Both fighters look to strengthen their place within one of the region’s most competitive weight classes.
A lightweight battle between Tedrick Macklin and Pena Allamov adds further intrigue. Macklin comes in as the No. 27 pro lightweight in the U.S. Southwest, while Allamov sits just ahead at No. 26, making their meeting one of the closest ranking matchups of the night.
Fury’s Challenger Series continues to serve as one of the sport’s most consistent platforms for emerging talent, offering fighters a path to larger stages and promotional opportunities. Friday’s event streams live on UFC Fight Pass following the evening preliminaries.
