Texans Survey Trade Market for Help at Running Back
With the trade deadline approaching, the Houston Texans are reportedly exploring options to add depth at running back.
According to multiple league reports, Houston is among several teams evaluating potential moves at the position, joining franchises like Kansas City and the Los Angeles Rams in monitoring the trade market.
The interest comes as the Texans continue to navigate injuries in their backfield. Veteran Joe Mixon has been sidelined, leaving rookie Woody Marks and veteran Dare Ogunbowale to carry the load. General manager Nick Caserio recently said the team will “always keep an open mind” when it comes to roster upgrades if the right opportunity presents itself.
While no deal is imminent, speculation has linked Houston to several names around the league, including New York Jets standout Breece Hall. Hall, who has been one of the Jets’ few bright spots this season, could be a fit if the Texans look to add an explosive playmaker to complement quarterback C.J. Stroud and balance the offense.
The NFL trade deadline is set for Nov. 4, giving Houston a short window to make a move if it decides to reinforce its running game before the postseason push.
