Rockets Roll Past Grizzlies For 5th Straight Win, 124–109

Amen Thompson scored 28 points with 10 rebounds and seven assists, and Alperen Şengün added 20 points and 16 rebounds as the Houston Rockets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 124–109 on Wednesday night at FedExForum, extending their winning streak to five games.

Houston jumped out early with a 34–22 first quarter and never looked back, stretching the lead to 21 in the third. Memphis made a brief push, but the Rockets’ depth and balance closed it out.

Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason each scored 16, and the Rockets shot 47% while outrebounding the Grizzlies 54–47.

“Kevin can have an off night, I can have an off night, and we always know someone’s gonna show up,” Şengün said. “We have so much talent. Everybody comes to win every night.”

Thompson, who did most of his damage in the first half, credited playing alongside Houston’s stars. “Sometimes they throw three guys on him and I’m just wide open,” he said of Durant and Şengün. “When you play with great players like that, you just get used to easy looks.”

Josh Okogie added a spark with three straight 3-pointers in the third quarter. “Josh, I know when you’re gonna make the 3 or not,” Şengün joked. “When you get the ball, you spin it in your hands the right way.”

Cam Spencer led Memphis with 19 points off the bench, and Ja Morant had 17 points and eight assists but shot just 6-for-19  . The Grizzlies fell to 3–6 while Houston improved to 5–2, now tied for the NBA’s longest active winning streak.

The Rockets continue their road trip Friday in San Antonio; Memphis hosts Dallas the same night.
